Volunteer Application

The Soap Box Derby relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of our volunteers. Whether you can spare a few hours on race day or want to be involved year-round, we have opportunities to match your interests.

Race Officials

  • Starters and timers
  • Track marshals
  • Finish line judges
  • Scorekeepers

Technical Team

  • Car inspections
  • Pit crew support
  • Track setup/teardown

Participant Support

  • Registration check-in

Vendor Application

The Soap Box Derby attracts hundreds of participants and spectators. As a food vendor, you'll have the opportunity to serve our hungry crowd while promoting your business.

Important Event Details & Terms

Event Date: July 4th (rain date TBA)

Setup: Complete before 10 AM

Hours: Stay until 3:30 PM

Permits: You have all required permits/licenses to operate the business in which you are applying with (food safe, Fraser health permit, lclb, cosmetic notification number, organic certication numnber)

Insurance: You carry your own Business Liability insurance.

Rainout: Could be called as late as 7am event day

Cancellation: Full refund before June 10th

*Cancellations received beyond the date of June 10th forfeit their event application fee.*
